Business Celebration - 1 year at Group Accountability with ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’

Karen Lee is the owner/director of @Cheshire Mortgage Group, giving mortgage and life assurance brokerage. Karen’s huge asset is that she is very down to earth, friendly and approachable, which is not what you usually expect from a financial services professional. She definitely doesn’t wear a suit!

When Karen joined one of my Accountability Groups a year ago, she had been working for herself for 5 years as ‘Karen Lee - Mortgage Advisor’ and already had an advisor and a personal assistant working with her. Her main objective was to launch ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’, take on more staff and grow the business.
During the last year, supported by the Group Accountability sessions, Karen has rebranded her business as ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’, had a big launch event and been in several Cheshire newspapers.
She now has a team of 5, who have almost 80 years experience between them and is contracted to receive clients from 5 Cheshire Estate Agents.

Karen is very keen to raise money for two charities close to heart; Chelwood Food Bank in Stockport and the national charity Hounds for Heroes, which provides specially trained assistance dogs for injured and disabled military and emergency service workers. To date she has raised more than £4,000 has pledged to raise at least £20,000 within five years through a combination of her own endeavours and fundraising with Cheshire Mortgage Group.
Karen’s goal is for ‘Cheshire Mortgage Group’ to be the go to place for all mortgages in Cheshire. Which I have no doubt she will achieve, as she is a very ambitious and determined lady.

This is what Karen says about being part of an Accountability Group:
'I booked on to Karen's Accountability Group and not really sure what to expect. I thought it would be full of entrepreneurs who knew loads about expanding a business and even though I had one I didn't know that much. I was expecting to feel intimidated.
It wasnt like that at all, Karen made me feel very welcome as did the other members. Everyone is in the same boat!
Karen heard what my vision was and helped me break it down into sections. She advised me on certain ideas and how to approach them & guided me on different ways of looking at my objectives.
Without Karen i wouldn't have moved forward as much as i thought. She gave me the confidence to do so and made me "accountable " for what I said I was going to do from the last meeting.
When you are self employed its easy to do things in your own time as you haven't got anyone giving you deadlines, you are your own boss. This group made me disciplined enough to follow through each stage of the plan.
I highly recommend joining this group for anyone who has an established business or starting out.
